Employees at both Pearsall Security State Bank Locations recently held a uniform drive to collect gently used uniforms to donate to the students of Pearsall ISD. The bank along with numerous employees gave money to purchase new uniforms to donate with the used ones that were collected. This is the second year in a row that SSB has committed to making sure every student at PISD has uniforms to wear to school! Both Pearsall SSB locations also participated in the “Stuff The Bus” program and were able to donate an entire vehicle full of school supplies! Pictured here from Left to Right are Mr. Adams, Vice-Principal of the Intermediate School, Mr. Cantu, Principal of the Intermediate School, Annie Garcia & Abel Trevino, both from SSB, as they dropped off the uniform donations.

The teachers and faculty of MVISD were very appreciative of the food and for all of the volunteers who took the time to make sure every one was fed. The Bank invited Kona Ice Tropical Shaved Ice to come out and serve free cups of shaved ice to the community courtesy of SSB. This celebration was held as a thank you to the community for helping Security State Bank grow over the last 10 Years. Almost 200 cups of shaved ice were given out to cool the people of the community off on a hot July day!

On July 14, 2017, over a hundred people joined Security State Bank in celebrating the one year anniversary of the Castroville Branch. Dirt Road Cookers, out of Hondo, TX, created an 8 foot pizza with the bank’s logo on it to serve all of the guests. The weather was warm but everyone was able to come inside the bank and enjoy the pizza, an iced cold drink and some delicious desserts, not to mention the cool air conditioning.
The Castroville Branch has done extremely well at the new location and continues to grow daily. With the city of Castroville growing at a rapid pace, Security State Bank is honored to be a part of the new growth and looks forward to continuing to be a vital part of the community.
Special thanks to all of the guests that braved the heat and came out to help celebrate this milestone for the bank!
